The figure 8 already provides one of the smoothest and easy to control descents of any device. It's also one of the easiest devices to hook up.

The CMI Rescue 8 adds to these features a larger size which aids in heat dissipation as well as allowing for additional weight in the event of a pick off rescue. It also sports "ears" which facilitate tie-offs but help prevent accidental girth hitching making it great for youth and challenge courses.
