B3E Chain is the fastest cutting of all carbide-tipped chains but it loses its cutting speed rapidly when cutting materials other than wood.

B3E Chain has low durability when materials other than wood are encountered.
B3E Chain uses modified standard chain saw chain cutters with material ground away to form a seat for the carbide tip.
