DRAEGER BG-4 POSSITIVE PRESSURE CLOSED CIRCUIT BREATHING APPARATUS

The Dräger PSS® BG 4 plus is a closed-circuit breathing apparatus that is independent of air surrounding and is designed for extended use in enviroments of a toxic nature. The exhaled carbon dioxide is absorbed by soda lime and oxygen is constinuiously added and not guided outside - as it would be in other breathing apparatus with pressure gauges - but in the rebreather it's maintained within the circuit. This unit will last up to four hours depending on the activity of the user. Compressed oxygen is used for the oxygen supply.

Through all of these life-threatening tasks, they confidently rely on their BG4’s to provide them with up to four hours of clean continuous independent of the low oxygen contaminated ambient air engaging them. Knowing they have hours instead of minutes over a SCBA, they're able to concentrate more on what's facing them, their crew and saving lives.

The Dräger BG-4 supplies the wearer with safe breathing air for up to 4 hours in IDLH environments. The BG-4 gives the user time in extended-duration missions - time to target, time to get the job done and time to get back safe.

Commonly referred to as a rebreather, the closed-circuit breathing apparatus operates on a proven model of efficiency; by removing carbon dioxide, recycling unused oxygen and supplying fresh oxygen from a cylinder. Light-weight and comfortable, the BG-4 weighs less than most 60-minute SCBAs. Its positive pressure design provides the user with effortless and quiet breathing.

Ideal for almost any application, the BG-4 has a reinforced carbon fiber shell, allowing it to withstand even the toughest missions. Its low profile design makes it easy to use inside chemical protective suits or outside bunker gear.

The Dräger BG-4 is ideally suited for extended duration operations such as Domestic Preparedness, Haz-Mat response, High-rise search and Tunnel Rescue.
