RKI offers a next generation EAGLE 2 portable gas detector. This Portable Gas Monitor comes equipped with features that are not readily available on competitive units making the EAGLE 2 a powerful instrument with more on offer than the standard confined space gas detection of LEL, O2, H2S and CO. Chose from 4 different Options: LEL & PPM  -- One Gas Model with 2 exotic chemicals LEL & PPM / O2 --Two Gas Model with 2 exotic chemicals LEL & PPM / O2 / H2S -- Three Gas Model with 2 exotic chemicals LEL & PPM / O2 / CO / H2S -- Four  Gas  Model with 2 exotic chemicals Other variations are available on request.

Smart plug and play sensors are auto recognized and can be remotely calibrated. The Eagle 2 comes with alkaline batteries, hose, probe, shoulder strap, product CD and instruction manual. Also included is an internal hydrophobic filter. Rechargable NiMH batteries, chargers, calibration kits and other accessories are available to be purchased separately.

The EAGLE 2 available features include a PID sensor for detecting high or low ppm levels (0-50 & 0-2,000) of VOC gases; % volume capability for CH4 and H2 using a TC  (thermal conductivity) sensor; PPM or LEL hydrocarbon detection at the push of a button; infrared sensors for CO2 (ppm or % volume), methane or hydrocarbons in LEL and % volume ranges; methane elimination feature for environmental applications; and a variety of super toxic gases. 




The strong internal pump on the EAGLE 2 has an alarm on the low flow auto pump shut off and is capable of drawing samples from up to 125 feet. This enables a quicker response and recovery from distant sampling locations. The EAGLE 2 Gas Monitor can be continuously operated for over 18 hours on alkaline batteries or 20 hours on NiMH. A variety of accessories are also available to help satisfy almost any application such as long sample hoses, special float probes for tank testing, and dilution fittings, just to name a few. Data logging is a standard feature for all sensors on all versions. The Eagle 2 features an ergonomic design that includes large glove-friendly buttons enabling ease control of the functions. The functions on this Gas Detector include alarm silence, autocalibration, demand zero, peak hold, methane elimination  to name just a few.
