FireIce is a fire suppression gel. When FireIce® is shipped in powder form and is added to water to produce a firefighting water enhancing gel. The fire triangle is broken by FireIce® because the FireIce Gel cools the heatsource and suffocates the oxygen thus breaking the thermal barriers of fire. FireIce Gel prevents rekindles, which reduces property damage and increases firefighter safety.
FireIce® has been tested by the United States Forest Service and 3rd party laboratories and is non-corrosive to aircraft and fire apparatus and the dry powder will store for more than 5 years.
The FireIce® Eductor is constructed to pull the dry powder into the water stream with a minimum water pressure of 35 psi. While other foam-eductors are more often of a design to draw liquid concentrates into water stream.
