Why do I need an escape system? There have been countless documented incidents where firefighters have been trapped, and have been forced to “bail out” of an upper floor window in order to survive. Escape Systems are the answer to these dangers, and have quickly become an essential part of a firefighters personal protective ensemble. Our NFPA certified escape systems are always ready to be deployed should you become trapped on an upper floor.
We believe that a system such as these must be pre-rigged at all times. This ensures that a firefighter can perform a rapid escape by only needing to establish an anchor point and roll out of the window. The Anchor Hook can be tied off or hooked around an object or placed at the window sill to create an anchor. The combination of a pre-rigging system and the Anchor Hook are critical factors in reducing the time firefighters spend in untenable conditions.

Sterling F4 Personal Escape System includes the Sterling F4 descender, your choice of Sterling FireTech 32 or SafeTech 7.5mm cut and heat resistant rope (both NFPA certified ropes), anchor hook (or auto-locking snap hook) sewn into rope, connection carabiner and carry pack. This system, including the FireTech 32 and SafeTech rope, are certified to NFPA 1983-2006 standards.
RIT P.R.E.S.S Firefighter Escape System includes the RIT FIRE-AL “Auto-Locking” descender, Kevlar 3/8” tubular cut and heat resistant webbing, an anchor hook sewn into the webbing, connection lanyard and carabiner and carry pack (or optional pocket pack). This system is certified to NFPA 1983-2006 standards. * Also available with Kevlar rope.
RPI Personal Escape System includes the CMC Escape Artist double brake descender, rope is flat and light weight made of two components making it extremely strong as well as flame and abrasive resistant. The rope is prepackaged and shrink wrapped to prevent tampering and unraveling. The anchor hook is the patented RPI Hook sewn into rope. The system also includes a connection carabiner and patented Lumbar carry pack. This system is certified to NFPA 1983-2006 standards.
Petzl EXO Personal Escape System includes the EXO auto-locking descender, 50-feet of 7.5mm Technora heat and cut resistant rope, an anchor hook with hitching slot sewn into the rope, connection carabiner and carry pack. This system is certified to NFPA 1983-2006 standards.
