RIT 200' Kevlar Group Search Kit With Chicago Bag With Tag Lines

PRIMARY SEARCH LINE KIT - CHICAGO STYLE BAG WITH KEVLAR MAIN LINE AND (3) TAG LINES

The RIT Rescue & Escape Systems PRIMARY SEARCH LINE consists of a strong and durable 9.5mm Kevlar over Polyester main line with two (2) steel non-rated carabiners on either end. The primary line comes in our versatile Chicago Bag, which has been specifically designed for search and guide operations.

The TAG LINES are 25' of our 3/8" Kevlar tubular flat webbing with non-locking steel carabiner. These tag lines have a temperature rating of 862 degrees F and a tensile strength of 4,500 pounds and are packaged in a small bag with Velcro closure.

FEATURES:

* Two (2) steel non-rated carabiners with captive eye to prevent the carabiners from coming off the line in low visibility
* The Chicago Bag is a heavy duty rope bag constructed of Cordura and comes equipped with reflective trim, utility pockets and a quick release seat belt shoulder strap.
* The Chicago Bag is designed for easy rope deployment out either side.
* The Chicago Bag has loops to attach carabiners, tag line bags and other equipment
* Our Kevlar line is washable.

This main line system, along with a tag line system, is ideal for any search and guide application.

Available in 100' and 200' lengths or desired lengths (sold by the foot) to meet your departments needs.

Knots & Rings vs. Straight Rope:  The benefit of have 'Knots & Rings' is that it allows firefighters to know how deep they are inside the structure by counting the number of knots.  The rings are large and easily distinguished with a gloved hand.  The benefit of 'Straight Rope' is that the Search Line can serve multiple functions including use in rescuing firefighters who may have fallen through a floor, uses as a 2:1 rig, use to escape from an upper floor, etc.

100-ft vs. 200-ft:  Some departments have a need for 100-ft Search Line based on their demographic and response area.  However, BY FAR, the 200-ft Search Line option is the most popular.  This because there is always the possibility that the 'anchor (or substantial object)' may be a good distance away from your entry point.  In this case, the 100-ft kit now limits the distance that you can enter and search.
