Swift Water Rescue Awareness Training - Open Enrollment

Water Rescue Awareness for First Responders is designed to introduce emergency services personnel who respond to water emergency incidents. All responders must recognize the risks and dangers of rescues in moving swift water and know what actions to take to ensure personal, team and scene safety.

This Awareness Level program is a classroom session. It will present students with the need for water rescue, scene safety, management, training, resources, equipment and identification of “rescue” versus “recovery” operations. This program meets NFPA 1670 – Standards on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents – Water Search and Rescue.
