NEW YORK ROOF HOOK - by Fire Hooks Unlimited

An All-Purpose head (slightly redesigned to FDNY specification), aircraft hollow steel shaft, chisel end, and celtex grips. This tool was developed by the New York City Fire Department Research and Development Unit for a variety of Truck Company operations.

The chisel end is used as a prying tool for scuttle hatches and roof doors. The short lengths are good for going up fire escapes and scuttles to the roof.
