At 0534 hrs Tuesday May 2nd, 2006 Brooklyn BOX 0036 was transmitted. Reported to be a warehouse at West & Quay Streets. The fire was originally located at the western end of the Brooklyn Terminal Market. A mix of 3-4 and 5 story brick heavy timber construction buildings. The fire quickly consumed the sprawling, 3 acres of multi warehouses on the Old Greenpoint Terminal Market site. In total 10 alarms were transmitted, before bringing this fire under control. Watch as the fire extents from building to building and into the exposure. Extremely Heavy fire conditions. Hear all fire ground radio transmissions. Watch multiple collapses.
