HOT•STOP® FAST/RIT Rescue Crew Bag

The HOT·STOP crew bag is designed to allow FAST / RIT crews to efficiently store and transport tools required to perform rescue operations, typical nylon duffel bags used for rescue work can soften or melt when exposed to radiant heat or direct flame contact. The HOT·STOP bag is lined with 1000 denier ballistic nylon fabric for durability and puncture resistance, all exterior surfaces are HOT·STOP “L” a fireproof fabric that can withstand continuous exposure to 1200°F and will not melt until temperatures reach 2080°F. This bag has the durability of 1000 denier nylon combined with the fireproof properties of HOT·STOP”L”. Bags can also be ordered with an optional Mylar laminate applied to the HOT-STOP “L” shell for 2000°F radiant heat protection.

At 19” long x 11” wide and 10” deep the center of the main bag is designed to hold up to a 1 hour bottle, strapped down with the attached hook & loop closure. Fully loaded with equipment the bag will fit in most apparatus compartments.

The HOT·STOP RIT Crew bag has been designed to incorporate 1000 denier ballistic nylon fabric storage compartments that are contained within the bag itself. Two separate compartments 16” long x 3” wide x 9” are self contained with hook and loop closures to keep tools and equipment secure.

Interior compartments are large enough to hold up to 170’ of 3/8” HT2 fireproof search-tag line. With 1” diameter grommets installed in the storage pouch HT2 can be fed through the compartment. Follow up teams will easily be able to trace the line directly to the bag and rescue operation.

Features designed into the bag take into consideration ease of access to compartments. No zippers that can be difficult to grab with gloves on are used to close compartment flaps, all closures use hook & loop for a quick grab and rip opening action. Compartment opening point is clearly marked with sewn on reflective tape. The duffel bag style sling strap, which is sewn into the bag for strength and durability, is a fireproof composite of two layers of durable nylon webbing with a core of HOT·STOP woven tape, if the strap is exposed to temperatures high enough to melt the webbing the HOT·STOP tape will remain serviceable up to 1200°F and will not melt until exposure to 2080°F. The outer shell of HOT·STOP will protect the inner lining from radiant heat and direct flame contact ensuring that under the most severe conditions the crew will be able to maintain control of its rescue tools. Grommets can be added to side compartments to payout search line.

Wherever the crew goes the bag goes!
