Special Operations Recovery Drag, a life saving device, is the most efficient means of removing a downed firefighter or victim from the "Hot Zone". The S.O.R.D. is lightweight, compact, and easily deployed. It has NO belts, NO buckles, snaps or straps. It can be easily managed by one person, saving the lives of many.

It is available in two types of material - Cotton Duck OR Kevlar. The Cotton Duck S.O.R.D. DOES NOT exceed any rating but is manufactured to 2,000 lbs.- 2,200 lbs. as a Nylon Border. The center consists of a single ply Cotton Duck with a good abrasive factor for dragging and gives the center 800 lbs.- 1,000 lbs. of carrying capacity. Cotton Duck Colors:Blue or Red. The 100% Kevlar S.O.R.D. is manufactured with a Kevlar 7,500 lbs.- 8,000 lbs. webbing border. The center consists of two-ply (treated for a better abrasive factor) Kevlar sheets giving the center between 5,000 lbs.- 6,000 lbs. carrying capacity. The threading is a Kevlar thread giving it the maximum strength and fire retardency.

Every professional toolbelt should be equipped with the S.O.R.D. life-saving device.

See the May 2006 issue of FIRE RESCUE Magazine. The Tools News Techniques section gives the S.O.R.D. the "thumbs up" as a must have - "a great deal and should be a staple in you department's RIT cache."
