The WEDGEE® is a state-of-the-art door wedge that is made of durable, shock resistant, non-skid specialized material. It is a device to be placed under a door or in a doorjamb to hold the door open. The WEDGEE® has a combination of 3 bright flashing LED lights, plus a piercing 95 dB sound. Fire professionals have determined that these combined features can aid firefighters in safely exiting a building. When first activated, The WEDGEE® will flash the LED lights and will sound an intermittent alarm. When 20 minutes have elapsed, firefighters will be alerted by a continuous sound from The WEDGEE®. This can assist in guiding firefighters to safety. The WEDGEE® facilitates search efforts in structural fires, increases safety on fire grounds, warns of danger at auto accidents, and more. It can be operated as an electronic flare to warn motorists when approaching an auto accident where there could be a fuel spill or leakage. It can also be used as a beacon to aid landing mercy air, helicopters, or any other aircraft. The WEDGEE® will function as a marker for medical triage purposes. Two modes of operation: Light Only or Light and Sound. Use The WEDGEE® on Light Only and attach to a helmet or SCBA shoulder strap. 9-v replaceable battery. Battery life: When The WEDGEE® is completely activated, a new battery will last approximately 20 hours. If used in cold temperatures the battery life will decrease. Low battery indicator (when unit is activated, battery is tested to determine if there is enough battery power for approximately 20 minutes, if not unit will shut off automatically).
