FDNY UNIT CITATION RIBBON INSIGNIA BARS

"To entitle a unit to this citation, the act under consideration should involve an outstanding company operation, dependent upon teamwork and cooperation".

    These ribbons are awarded each year by the New York City Fire Department at Medal Day (the first Wednesday in June). A company is awarded the appropriate ribbon depending on their company type:
    ENGINE: Red, White, Yellow stripes with Bugle Horn insignia
    LADDER: Red, White, Yellow stripes with Axe insignia
    RESCUE: Red, White, Blue stripes with Rescue insignia (dive helmet, gun, etc.
    SQUAD: White, Yellow, Blue stripes with Bugle Horn and :Ladder crossed insignia
    HAZ-MAT: Green, White, Blue stripes with Rescue insignia
    FIRE MARSHALS: Red, Yellow, Blue stripes with Scale of Justice insignia
