NEWBURGH (NY) FIREFIGHTERS RECEIVE ESCAPE SYSTEMS AND TRAINING
May 2, 2008
The City of Newburgh (NY) recently purchased the RIT Rescue & Escape System's PRESS Firefighter Escape System from All Hands Fire Equipment. Training was conducted by First Due Training yesterday and today, and will continue on May 5 and 6. Newburgh Fire Department received funding with the assistance of the firefighters union IAFF Local 589 and New York Senator Bill Larkin who successfully secured a grant totalling $55,000. March 24, 2008:
All Hands Fire Equipment recently outfitted the MythBusters, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, with firefighters protective equipment. The MythBusters, which can be seen on the Discovery Channel, was provided with Cairns 1044 helmets and Paul Conway front pieces. The front pieces were custom designed by Paul Conway with the All Hands Fire Equipment logo and Adam and Jamie's names. Congratulations to Washington Township Fire Department and IAFF 3786! All Hands

22,
2007:
All Hands Fire Equipment, in conjunction with First Due Training of Staten Island,
NY provided an orientation training course on firefighter escape systems. The
training was conducted in Asbury Park, NJ. Members from several departments were
able to test and evaluate the Petzl EXO Personal Safety System and the RIT PRESS
Escape System.

20, 2007:
On August 13, 2007 the New York State Assembly passed Bill
# A07785 that directs fire departments in New York State to provide their
firefighters with personal escape systems that meet the standards set forth by
NFPA. All Hands Fire Equipment has received numerous requests for information
regarding this bill and information on firefighter
escape and firefighter escape
systems. All Hands Fire Equipment is an authorized dealer for the

All Hands Fire Equipment is please to announce that we will be moving from 601
Memorial Drive to 506 Atkins Avenue. Our new location is three
times the size
of our present location, and will allow us to display a much large show room.
We also plan to stock and offer fitting rooms for our new line of uniforms, shirts,
pants and other apparel. This new location is one block away from our present
location. Our move is expected to be completed by May 18, 2007.
April 4, 2007:
RIT Rescue & Escape Systems recently released a newly designed escape system. This system uses a Kevlar 7.5mm rope with the CMC Escape Artist friction device. Recent demonstrations in several New Jersey fire departments has received an overwhelmingly positive response. This new system will seem be on our website. The Gemtor Harness over the past few years has become one of our most popular items. We are pleased to announce that we have begun a research and development project in expanding the functionability of the 541NYC harness to now transform from a Class-2 harness to a Class-3 harness with one simple attachment piece. We have gone through several prototypes and presently have several units being tested and evaluated by the FDNY Research & Development and SOC. The prototype harness will be on display at the MEGA-SHOW at the Nassau Collesium on Long Island on January 27-28.
