Saturday, March 13th & Sunday, March 14th, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Every year far too many firefighters die in the line of duty. Asphyxiation (running out of air) is a leading cause of LODD on the fire ground. Unfortunate some of these statistic are PREVENTABLE. In many cases, the firefighter died by simply running out of air prior to exiting the IDLH environment. Our Advanced SCBA class is modelled after the Rules Of Air Management (R.O.A.M.) program, which was established based on the premise that “Air Equals Time”. This program will discuss many of these relevant topics as well as asking the students whether or not they are aware of NFPA 1404 Standard for Fire Service Respiratory Protection Training, which mandates that firefighter’s exit the IDLH prior to their low-air alarm activating.
