Ballistic Body Armor

For emergency services, like the police, ballistic body armor is a normal part of professionals’ mandatory equipment—but less often do people think that firefighters need body armor of their own. After all, aren’t firefighters just responding to fires? Why would they need ballistic body armor? Well, firefighters are often the first on the scene for emergencies beyond fires, such as responding to medical emergencies alongside EMTs. Due to the unpredictability of emergencies, firefighters, EMTs, and all other emergency responders may encounter dangers like firearms that may have caused the emergency in the first place. Thus, it’s a good idea for all emergency responders to have ballistic body armor on hand in preparation for the worst.
