Belay Kit Firefighter Escape System Training & Related Rope Operations

This kit has all of the components to attach to students during training sessions at height.  It is the same kit used in many of our training classes including Firefighter Escape Systems classes and Firefighter Rescue (RIT) classes.

The Belay Kit includes:

For the redundant harness requirement during training, a common option is to place each student firefighter in a Hasty harness (or Class 3 harness).   The Hasty harness option can easily be done with a 30-foot piece of 1" tubular webbing (see below Related Items) and tied with a water knot. This is acceptable under the new New York State Escape Systems law. This is an easiler, quicker and less expensive way to successfully provide escape systems training and has been used by All Hands Fire Equipment instructors during escape systems classes since 2006.
