FAQs
Will the Mayim Flood Barriers work on Grass?
The barriers do not work well on grass. They work best on solid surfaces like concrete due to the neoprene seal on the bottom. If you only had 1 or 2 panels on the grass and the rest on concrete, it wouldn't effect it too much.
Have the Mayim Flood Barriers been tested on the impact of waves, rather than just rising water?
The Mayim barrier is very durable and can handle some wave action. We have had these in heavily flowing rivers, during tidal events and deployed during storms. We do recommend that some sandbags be placed for ballast to help maintain the position of the barriers, until the water rises to ballast it, but we generally feel comfortable with the Mayim barriers handle some light to medium wave action.

These flood panels are so easy to stage before an expected storm and can hold back a lot of water. We use these throughout our commercial buildings at vulnerable entrances and underground parking garages.
