United Shield ACH/MICH Level IIIA Ballistic Helmet
Details
The ACH/MICH Helmet was designed to replace the in service PASGT helmet. The ACH/MICH helmet features a reduced weight, higher cut at the back and sides and removal of the front peak. This new low profile provides excellent compatibility with communications equipment, gas masks, and especially helmet mounted night vision goggles.
The helmet is constructed from para aramid material and provides lightweight, robust protection from ballistic and fragmentation projectiles and other low energy threats. A four point harness is anchored to the shell with ballistic resistant bolts. The harness can easily be removed from the ballistic helmet for cleaning or replacement. You will have two options for the United Shield ACH/MICH Level IIIA helmet: military and law enforcement. Both options include features that protect the wearer and are comfortable to wear. Here is a closer look at the options for this helmet:
- Military: This helmet uses the 4d 7-pad system to enhance comfort and stability
- Law Enforcement: This helmet uses the traditional mesh 4-point harness to enhance size adjustability, air flow and heat management

Ballistic Protection
United Shield offers a broad range of helmet constructions to suit threat, weight and performance criteria . The ACH/MICH Helmet is available to meet NIJ 0106.01 IIIA.
Fragmentation Protection
Protection against fragments from V50 of 670 m/sec (2200 fps) according to STANAG 2920 (17gr FSP) and US MIL STD 662F. Meets and exceeds the US Military V50 multi fragmentation requirement for the ACH helmet

BOA System
The United Shield International BOA retention harness with Rapid Adjustment Dial is a stand-alone chinstrap to feature dial-adjustable fit that can be adjusted on the go. The BOA Closure System provides the ability to adjust fit, stabilize the helmet when running and in prone position, as well as increase comfort while remaining lightweight and durable.
Optional Accessories
Accessories include ballistic visors, anti riot visors, neck protectors and various harness options including the USI BOA® retention harness. Pads systems, helmet covers, carrying bags and police identifiers are also available
