SOLBERG® EVOLUTION 3% SFFF

SOLBERG® EVOLUTION 3% SFFF (patent pending) is a first-of-its-kind Newtonian product for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and Sprinkler Application with Mil-Spec approval. Designed using a proprietary combination of hydrocarbon surfactants and additives, it delivers rapid knockdown and fire extinguishing performance on hydrocarbon fuels, including gasoline and kerosene-based fuels like Jet A and Jet A-1. The Newtonian viscosity makes system design calculations and transitioning simpler, and the formula contains no silicone/siloxane chemistries, biopolymers, thickening agents, or intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Key Features:

  • Meets MIL-PRF-32725
  • First Mil-Spec approved fluorine-free foam with approval on hydrocarbon fuels using standard sprinkler heads
  • Sprinkler Application - UL 162 Listed (aspirated and non-aspirated)
  • FM Approved
  • ICAO Level B Certified
  • GreenScreen Certified Silver® (Pending)
  • Positive spreading coefficient on jet fuel
  • Biodegradable and non-persistent
  • Newtonian viscosity makes for easy proportioning and engineering system design calculations
  • Compatible with multiple equipment systems
  • Contains no siloxanes, biopolymers or thickening agents

Applications:

  • Fast knockdown and extinguishment of hydrocarbon fuels, including gasoline and kerosene-based fuels like Jet A and Jet A-1
  • Meets MIL-PRF-32725, UL 162, and FM 5130 through non-aspirated and aspirated standard sprinklers to extinguish and secure Class B hydrocarbon fuels
  • Compatible with low-expansion discharge devices, including a variety of nozzles and monitors
  • Easily proportioned using standard firefighting equipment, including in-line inductors, self-inducting nozzles, fire truck pumps, bladder tanks, pump skids, balanced pressure systems, and standard sprinkler heads according to UL 162 and FM 5130

Certifications:

  • BSS7432 - Boeing Specification for the Evaluation of Airplane Maintenance Materials
  • MIL-PRF-32725
  • ICAO B
  • UL 162
  • FM 5130
  • GreenScreen Certified Silver® (Pending)
